Here’s the latest on meetups from NZPUG…
To the New Zealand Python community,
As a community organisation, NZPUG has a responsibility to ensure safety at all our events, as well as ensuring compliance with all legislation and regulations from Government. During the COVID-19 pandemic - particularly with growing threats from new SARS-CoV-2 variants - all NZPUG Meetups will align to the current guidance from the NZ Government.
This means any Meetups scheduled during Alert Level 3 or 4 will be either cancelled, or moved online.
During Alert Level 2, local Meetup organisers will each make their own determination of how to host their events, and will contact their members directly. If you have any questions, reach out to your local organiser or the NZPUG Committee for guidance.
Online Meetups are able to be online thanks to the invaluable help of The New Zealand Open Source Society (NZOSS) and their Big Blue Box infrastructure.
Those interested can head to their respective Meetup pages to register. The sessions are limited to 45 attendees and an RSVP is required.
We want to thank The New Zealand Open Source Society (NZOSS) for their generosity in sharing their amazing infrastructure (did we mention it is open source?) and also to give special thanks to Dave Lane @lightweight who went over and above to set us up in no time. The New Zealand Python community is in your debt.
We encourage every member of the New Zealand Python community to lead by example and to continue to act in a calm and deliberate way to protect others and themselves. Please, continue to follow the guidance from the Ministry of Health and other authorities.
